At Martindale Angus we select the best available genetics the industry currently offers & utilize laser focused breeding programs based on the principle of continuous development of the genetic phenotype & genotype attributes of Angus cattle.

We target all the Trans-Tasman Angus Cattle Evaluation criteria, starting with the fact we all need to get a live calf on the ground – so it is looking at calving ease, growth, fertility & temperament. They must have carcass quality, be structurally sound and extremely fertile.
All our cattle must be free from all genetic conditions & we are very rigorous with that.
The studs’ main objective in breeding animals with supreme genetics who produce elite beef cattle is verified with privately sold bulls now producing cattle with exceptional meat quality for clients.

Standout Angus bloodlines make up the foundation of the Martindale operation with sires Ardrossan Admiral A2, Ardrossan Equator A241, Pathfinder Genesis G357, Te Mania Emperor E343, and Cluden Newry Andy H113 genetics currently present across the herd.
Breed leading Australian sires Martindale used in recent joining’s include Millah Murrah Paratrooper P15 with his structural, phenotypic & pedigree excellence, brilliant balanced EBV set, along with Landfall New Ground N90 with his ground-breaking maternal pedigree & incredible EBV profile.
From the US, groundbreaking sires include GB Fireball 672, a bull with both calving ease & impressive meat quality data, Bubs Southern Charm AA31, a number three for registered progeny in America in 2020/2 along with Sterling Pacific 904, Top 1% on all growth traits, a bull who adds performance with maternal strength & Myers Fair-N-Square M39, built from maternal excellence & longevity, have been selected for their excellent traits.
